Falcon 1 (F1)

It does for 4K, but only when you use ONLY the front camera. When using the back camera as well 2K at the front is the limit. It does make a timelapse if you want, but you can't use the emergency button as you'd like (it'll only save the last picture, not the recorded movie file). It is more expensive when looking at bang for your buck, since Innovv will do 2x 2K for the same price, where your Falcon F1 will do max 2K+1080P. The (i)Phone-app doesn't have auto update, so you'll have to delete and re-install it once in a while. The cables are also quite long and you'll have to leave that somewhere. I've ordered some connectors and soldered my own short cables to replace the originals to save space (and weight although eating a burger less would probably achieve more results).
I've upgraded from my Sykik dashcam since it failed on me. Overall I'm content with quality and functionality, but if I knew before what I know now, I'd probably make a different descision, which doesn't mean this is a bad product. It is a good product, but there is better (for the same price).

Have had the F1 installed for 11 months. The video quality is outstanding but the unit randomly stops recording with a message (slow card speed, stop recording). I have worked with Vantrue support regarding the issue and they sent a new front camera cable and main camera. After replacing these components the unit worked without fail for about 3 months but is now failing again with the exact same issue. I have used 3 different SD cards, all of which exceed Vantrue's specifications but this has not changed the issue. Vantrue support did not reply to my latest message regarding the issue.

Installation was really easy and fast, everything was marked so there is no way to do a mistake. There is more than enough of cable length. Quality of picture is really god, no like GoPro or Insta360, but really good. For everyday use I think this is really superb gadget and I feel much more secure now having this camera installed.

It was great to receive it only two days after I purchased the F1 camera, but was a bit disappointed when I started to configure it as I found it is not possible to configure the front camera at 4k (as advised) and the rear camera at HD, if I choose 4k you can’t have the rear at all, I had to choose the front+ rear at lower resolution.
After a week of riding, it’s ok but not the best.
Another hiccup during installation is the yellow ACC wire, it doesn’t come with a standard adapter to connect to a fuse box or an existing wire, my work around is to buy a connector clamp to attach to an existing wire and a fuse to connect the yellow wire, I know it doesn’t draw much current but I can’t risk connecting a load without the right protection from over current. Would be nice if it comes with an easy way to connect neatly.
