FAQS
Please follow the Steps below to upgrade your device:
1.Download the firmware Part I and Part II to your PC;
2.Insert your microSD card (8GB – 256GB) to the camera, format the SD card on your dash cam and then connect the camera to the computer through the USB port on the camera. Copy the firmware file (A95LYD.bin and A95LYDP.bin ) from the computer to the microSD card, just place them in the root. then unplug the camera from the computer and turn it off;
Note 1: the firmware file (A95LYD.bin) could not be recognized by computer, it could just be recognized by the dash cam, so don’t try to open it on PC or try to rename it, just copy it to the card.
Note 2: the new firmware supports up to 256GB card, but if your camera’s original firmware version is older than VTN2Pro8F.V17 or VTN2Pro8F.V17_IQ, please use a card from 8GB to 128GB for the upgrade. Once it is successfully upgraded, it will support 256GB card.
3.Plug the camera to a power charger (not computer), or press the power button;
4.Then the camera will auto upgrade, and it will take about 30 secs to 1 min, during this time, the camera will not turn on and will not respond to any button or operation;
5.Once the dash cam upgraded successfully, it will turn on and work.
6.Please have a check the version of your device now (go to the System Setup menu and turn to the Version) and see if it is the same as the website show. If it is, then the camera has been upgraded successfully.
7.Format the microSD card when the update has been completed, or the camera will upgrade itself every time when it detects the firmware file in the card.

The reason why Vantrue dash cam cannot record and save videos longer than one hour is due to the limitations of the memory card format. Most dash cams use memory cards formatted with FAT32, which can only support a maximum file size of 4GB. Videos longer than half an hour often exceed this size limit, preventing the dash cam from saving them as a single file.
We only recommend Vantrue, Samsung Endurance and Sandisk High Endurance/Max Endurance Card. To extend the life of your card, we advise to format your SD card every 3-4 weeks for regular everyday users and 2-3 weeks for heavy users to free up space on your memory card for new recordings.
Note: Samsung EVO Plus and PRO Plus cards are NOT recommended for use with Vantrue dash cam.
1. Format the SD card and update the dash cam to the latest firmware version.
2. Try a new recommended card.
3. If you have tried the above steps and the issue hasn't been resolved, please contact our support team via support@vantrue.net.

It is normal for the device to be slightly warm. When the car is moving, the dash cam continuously records video, causing its internal chips to process data at high speeds, which generates considerable heat. Vantrue dash cams are designed to withstand high temperatures, so as long as it is working normally, there should be no concerns. Please feel confident in using it.
1. Please check that the power connections are securely plugged in.
2. Power the dash cam from the USB port on the dash cam to check if it is the mount's issue.
3. Try a different charging cable.
4. Take out the SD card from the dash cam and check if the dash cam works well.
5. If the dash cam has a rear camera, unplug the rear camera and check if the dash cam works well.
6. Update the firmware.
When installing the mount, ensure it is placed on a flat surface of the windshield, avoiding areas with black dots. Clean the windshield thoroughly before installation, and make sure the suction cup is free of dust.
If the suction cup continues to fall off, try completely soaking the suction cup in hot water to soften the rubber. After soaking, dry the suction cup with a paper towel before installing it.
Additionally, before attaching the suction cup mount, ensure both the mount and the glass surface are clean. During installation, press out as much air as possible from the inside of the suction cup hook. The less air inside, the better the suction and the more effective the mount will be.
