Firmware
FAQS
Please follow the Steps below to upgrade your device:
1.Download the firmware to your PC;
2.Insert your microSD card (32GB – 512GB) to the camera, and then connect the camera to the computer through the USB port on the camera. Select “USB Connecting” on dash cam. Copy the firmware file (VT_E2.bin) from the computer to the microSD card, then unplug the camera from the computer and turn it off;
Note 1: the firmware file (VT_E2.bin) could not be recognized by computer, it could just be recognized by the dash cam, so don’t try to open it on PC or try to rename it, just copy it to the card.
3.Plug the camera to a power charger (not computer), or press the power button;
4.Then the camera will auto upgrade, and it will take about 30 secs to 1 min, during this time, the camera will not turn on and will not respond to any button or operation;
5.Once the dash cam upgraded successfully, it will turn on and work.
6.Please check the version of your device now (go to the System Setup menu and turn to the Version) and see if it is the same as the website show. If it is, then the camera has been upgraded successfully.
7.Format the microSD card when the update has been completed.

The reason why Vantrue dash cam cannot record and save videos longer than one hour is due to the limitations of the memory card format. Most dash cams use memory cards formatted with FAT32, which can only support a maximum file size of 4GB. Videos longer than half an hour often exceed this size limit, preventing the dash cam from saving them as a single file.
We only recommend Vantrue, Samsung Endurance and Sandisk High Endurance/Max Endurance Card. To extend the life of your card, we advise to format your SD card every 3-4 weeks for regular everyday users and 2-3 weeks for heavy users to free up space on your memory card for new recordings.
Note: Samsung EVO Plus and PRO Plus cards are NOT recommended for use with Vantrue dash cam.
1. Format the SD card and update the dash cam to the latest firmware version.
2. Try a new recommended card.
3. If you have tried the above steps and the issue hasn't been resolved, please contact our support team via support@vantrue.net.

It is normal for the device to be slightly warm. When the car is moving, the dash cam continuously records video, causing its internal chips to process data at high speeds, which generates considerable heat. Vantrue dash cams are designed to withstand high temperatures, so as long as it is working normally, there should be no concerns. Please feel confident in using it.
1. Check if the remote control icon is displayed on the dash cam screen. Normally, when the remote control is paired, the icon will appear on the screen.
2. If not, restart the dash cam. After powering it on, press and hold the lock button on the remote control to reconnect.
3. Manually press the green light on the remote control. If it doesn't light up, check if the battery is dead and try replacing it. If it lights up, try changing the location to see if interference from other devices is the issue.
4. Check if the remote control is connected to another Vantrue dash cam, causing no response on the current device. If the dash cam still cannot connect, please contact our support team at support@vantrue.net.
1. Make sure you use the orignal rear cable. please kindly note that the rear cable of different dash cam won't be compatible with each other.
2. Check if the rear cable connection is securely plugged in.
3. Rotate the rear camera to see if it works well. if no, please contact us via support@vantrue.net.
1. Please check that the power connections are securely plugged in.
2. Power the dash cam from the USB port on the dash cam to check if it is the mount's issue.
3. Try a different charging cable.
4. Take out the SD card from the dash cam and check if the dash cam works well.
5. If the dash cam has a rear camera, unplug the rear camera and check if the dash cam works well.
6. Update the firmware.
Use a Pry Tool and a Hair Dryer
Removing a dash cam is usually more challenging than installing it on the windshield. This is because the adhesive on the mount is very strong and almost impossible to remove with just your fingers. We recommend using a pry tool to slowly loosen the adhesive.
However, the best method is to use a hair dryer or heat gun. Aim the hair dryer at the adhesive from outside the vehicle (or inside, if necessary). Just 5 to 10 seconds should suffice, then slowly wiggle the mount back and forth – the adhesive should loosen significantly as the glue heats up and softens. If the initial heat isn't enough, feel free to use the pry tool or the hair dryer again.
For any remaining 3M adhesive, you can use a towel lightly dampened with alcohol to gently wipe the area. The alcohol will help break down the adhesive components. Allow it to soften for a while, making it easier to remove, and then wipe it clean.
1. Confirm whether CarPlay is connected via Bluetooth or WiFi. If it is connected via WiFi, you can only choose one device to connect to the phone.
2. If it is connected via Bluetooth, there may be frequency interference, as both WiFi and Bluetooth operate on the 2.4GHz band, preventing simultaneous connection to the app and CarPlay. If using the 5GHz band also prevents simultaneous connection to CarPlay, it indicates that the phone can only connect to a single device at a time.
1. Restart the dash cam and the Vantrue app.
2. Update to the latest version for the dash cam and app.
